About Lau Ba Thai

Located at 2435 Sam Rayburn Hwy #500, Melissa, TX 75454, Lau Ba Thai operates as an asian fusion serving Melissa in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under thai restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Melissa, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Texas run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–9 pm. Note that it does not open on Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (972) 369-7266. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is laubathai.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 338 reviews, which is a strong result for an asian fusion in Melissa and suggests consistent service.

Melissa is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in Melissa peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This was my first time eating at this restaurant. It is a Midway point for us to meet some friends of ours. I was really glad that we picked this restaurant. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. I don't really live near here, but if I am in this area I would definitely visit again. We ordered the rolls and drunken noodle. The only thing that I would have liked to have different was a freshly made Thai tea from scratch instead of the one I received.

Lau Ba Thai brings a vibrant blast of fresh Pan-Asian comfort straight to Sam Rayburn Highway. This modern, casual neighborhood favorite pairs a bright, family-friendly dining room with exceptionally welcoming hospitality. The kitchen delivers bold, scratch-made flavor, pairing authentic Pad Thai and aromatic green curry with beautifully crafted specialty sushi rolls, comforting Japanese ramen bowls, and refreshing fruit boba teas.

An outstanding sushi dining experience from start to finish. The quality of the food is exceptional, with incredibly fresh and delicious sushi prepared to a very high standard. Every dish was beautifully presented and reflected the restaurant’s commitment to excellence. A special thank you to Chef (Jason), whose skill and attention to detail were evident in every bite. His expertise and passion for creating amazing sushi truly stood out. I would also like to recognize (Shannon), who took our orders and provided excellent service throughout our visit. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for top-quality sushi and outstanding customer service, I highly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely be coming back.

Our first experience with this restaurant was takeout and we were not disappointed! We ordered the crab rangoons, chicken fried rice, beef fried rice, and two milk teas. All of the food was good, not great. We will be back again and we’re looking forward to trying something else on the menu!

Besides the foul smell of obviously a not well maintained sewer line of sort, the service was stinky too. The Thai food was OK but the spices were way off, especially on the pad Thai. It says if the spice they use was merely a Sriracha. The chicken didn’t taste like chicken on the drunken noodles And they had no sticky rice to boot. We definitely won’t be back there again. sabaidee and any other Thai food place compared to this one, are better.
